What’s going on Nashville?!

Summer Happenings!

It’s hard to believe that summer is almost here. Kids are getting out of school, the temperature’s rising, and it’s time to get more creative with what to do in your free time. Luckily, Nashville always seems to have a bustling social calendar. From live music, to movies in the park, and tons of good food + drinks popping up, there’s always something to discover.

Our summer staples:

The Full Moon Pickin’ Party

This has been a Nashville classic for 18 years. Sit around and watch talented musicians pick on their guitars while sipping on some cold brews…. or if you’re a musician, you can bring your own instrument and join in! (and get a discount on admission).

WHERE

Warner Park Equestrian Center at 2500 Old Hickory Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37221

WHEN

Movies in the Park

There’s nothing better than setting up some lawn chairs, eating food trucks, and watching a movie under the stars. Every Thursday in June, Elmington Park will be hosting Movies in the Park.

Here’s this year’s schedule:

CMA FEST

It’s no secret that Nashville is home to some amazing musical talent! CMA Fest brings together people from all over the world, as well as artists from all levels! Every night, the stadium hosts a knock out lineup of big dogs that are definitely worth seeing! But we wanted to highlight a few other artists who might not be as well known, but who you won’t want to miss! (and a lot of the smaller shows are free… so it’s a win, win!)

May we suggest:
Friday June 8 @ Riverfront Stage
Cam- 10-10:30 am
Cadillac 3- 10:45-11:15 am

Saturday June 9 @ Chevy Breakout Stage
Jillian Jacqueline- 11:10-11:35
Steve Moakler- 1:50-2:15
Kassi Ashton- 3:10-3:35

Lastly, here’s a fun list of some new or upcoming Nashville spots that should be on your summer list!

Folk (open now)

A new venture from the creators of Rolf & Daughters. If it’s anything like, R&D, prepare to be obsessed. 823 Meridian St.

Lyra

We were all sad when East Nashville’s The Holland House came to an abrupt close. The vibe and the patio were one of Nashville’s most beloved! The good news is that this building is being taken over this by Lyra, a Middle Eastern eatery. They are aiming for a late Spring/ early Summer opening, so stay tuned!

Madison Bowl

The Mercy Lounge & Family Wash founders are teaming up to revitalize a combination bar/restaurant/bowling alley in Madison.

They will feature 12 bowling lanes, stages for live music, and tasty food/drink. Who else is pumped about this?! They are currently aiming for an August launch date.
