One of the best places to spend an evening, Midtown Nashville has a lot to offer. From one of the many hotels, restaurants or bars, this is the place to be for a fun night!

Offering both casual and fine dining, Midtown Nashville is one of the best spots to find Nashville’s best food. Midtown Cafe, a casual fine dining local favorite offers great steaks, seafood, locally grown produce, numerous wines both by the glass and by the bottle, and some of the greatest cocktails Nashville has to offer.

Another fabulous option would be South Street Original Crab Shack & Authentic Dive Bar, or better known just as “South Side”. This incredible Cajun restaurant offers delicious and spicy options, in large portions. Equipped with a convertible dining room as well as an open upstairs called the “Treehouse”, this place is a perfect destination after a long day at work.

A Nashville staple, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is a place only for those who have a taste for spicy food. Offering some of Nashville’s best southern food, Hattie B’s has delicious side items, along with beer that pairs perfectly with the spice. If you wear a Hattie B’s ball cap into the restaurant, you’ll receive a discount! Head across the street to Broadway Brewhouse for one of the greatest beer selections you’ve ever seen. Over 70 beers on tap and over 100 more in the cooler.

The Patterson House offers one of the best bar experiences in the city. Along with 20 classic cocktail recipes, the menu offers 30 Patterson House original cocktail recipes. Don’t expect to see a sign pointing you to this Nashville original as Patterson House is as close to a new school speakeasy as you’ll find. Located just upstairs is a 30-seat restaurant called the Catbird Seat. One of the more unique restaurants Nashville has to offer, Catbird has a constantly changing seven-course menu that is inspired by the seasons. Customers also get the opportunity to observe and interact with the chef as they prepare their food, as the kitchen is situated in a U shape, surrounded by countertop seating.

If you’re feeling like doing a little dancing after dinner, head to one of Midtown’s many clubs. These places include Rebar, Blue Bar, Red Door Midtown, or if you’re feeling like a winner or a loser, head to Winners or Losers, two different clubs directly next to each other.

Vanderbilt

Home to one of the finest and most prestigious universities in America, Vanderbilt is a great neighborhood full of shopping, restaurants and even a few music venues for the college students.

Vanderbilt University is one of the south’s greatest institutions. It has a beautiful campus, great academics, brilliant students and so much more! It is also home to 20 SEC Championships, 3 National Championships and multiple national appearances. Take a trip to campus and take a stroll, then visit the Sarratt Gallery which is open throughout the year, showcasing artwork exhibits and it’s always free!

Vanderbilt has a great selection of restaurants, places that will satisfy any craving! San Antonio Taco Company, Grins Vegetarian Cafe, Las Palmas and the Tin Angel are all great casual options, with unique cuisine! If you’re looking for somewhere to take a date, or somewhere with more fine dining, Park25 Bistro,   Stoney River Legendary Steaks orFlemings Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar are the places to go. All three restaurants serve the finest food and some of the best wines by the most professional wait staff. Although being on the more expensive side, all options are well worth the price.

Finally, you can’t leave this neighborhood without experiencing a Songwriters Night at the Commodore Grille. Open every day except Tuesday, this great restaurant offers anyone to have their time under the spotlight. Along with some delicious food, the Commodore Grille is one place you don’t want to miss.

Midtown and Vanderbilt have some great things to offer to Nashville. Along with delicious food, and a prestigious University, this is one of the best spots in all of the city.
