LOCAL LOVE: SUMMER ACTIVITIES

School’s out for the summer! Which can feel so exciting, and also overwhelming, trying to keep kids entertained during the break. We compiled a list with some of our favorite summertime activities that the whole family can enjoy.

1) Nashville Shores

On hot Nashville days, you just need somewhere to cool off
. Nashville shores has something for everyone in the family! They have a playground for the kids, a beach for relaxation, and tons of fun water slides for the older kids (and parents!)

2) Lock 3 Beach in Hendersonville

Enjoy a sand beach, picnic sites, a boat launch, and public restrooms at this FREE public site. Bring some chairs,

3) Canoe Music City

One of our favorite things to do on a hot summer day is take a canoe trip down the Harpeth river! Pack a cooler and lots of sunscreen to enjoy a few hours of being unplugged. We love Canoe Music City because their canoes HAVE BACKS ON THEM. Don’t underestimate how important it is to have a back on your chair for the day. It’s a game changer.

4) Full Moon Pickin’ Party

This is one of the most fun ways to take in live music here in Music City. The Full Moon Pickin’ Parties are held at Percy Warner Park and include live music, food trucks, craft beer & more. BYO blanket, chair, dog, snacks, and have a good time. And if you play bluegrass music, bring your instrument & join in!

5) Nashville SC Game

If you haven’t attended a Nashville SC game yet, stop what you’re doing and grab some tickets! The stadium, is incredible and features local food and drink vendors. Even if you aren’t a huge soccer fan, you will have a great time. We are so glad this club is now in Nashville!
